Caregiver Recharge program provides
support when caregivers need a break.
Our Caregiver ReCharge program provides temporary relief for primary caregivers who are experiencing high levels of stress while caring for someone with high-needs. Our in-home, non-medical support is carried out by trained Personal Support Workers (PSWs). The program is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and there is no cost for eligible caregivers and care recipients.
Our services are provided by skilled Care Coordinators, Respite Advisor and Personal Support Workers (PSWs).
Non-medical assistance with personal care, ambulation and range of motion exercises, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, safety & risk monitoring and companionship.
Eligibility is determined based on a standardized assessments. Clients must live in Oakville, Milton, Georgetown, Halton Hills, Mississauga or South Etobicoke.
Central Registry - our centralized intake program - helps connect you with the right care, at the right time, to meet your needs.
We welcome self-referrals as well as referrals from hospitals, community partners, health care professionals, individuals and family members.
We are a collaborative community service offered by the Alzheimer Society of Peel, Nucleus Independent Living, Links2Care and our healthcare partners, AbleLiving and Home Instead.
